Sometimes, as a challenge to ourselves, we like to take some of our favorite movies and see if we can’t tweak them a little bit. This is meant in no way as any disrespect to the original director’s vision for their movie. It’s their work, they (usually) produced what they had envisioned. But sometimes it’s fun to play with it and that’s what these are.
“Batman/Superman” (To The Point Edit)
A re-edit of “Batman V Superman” that removes Batman’s killing nature, unnecessary plot points, tones down Superman’s mopey nature, and removes a lot of Lex’s weird creepy ticks. Also adds a post-credit scene.
Original run time: 151 minutes | My edit runtime: 91 minutes
“Star Wars – Episode I: The Phantom Menace” (To The Point Edit)
My edit of STAR WARS EPISODE I: THE PHANTOM MENACE, where Jar-Jar is less annoying, C3PO doesn’t exist, Anakin is actually good non-whiny pilot, and the main character is Qui-Gon.
Original run time: 136 minutes | My edit runtime: 72 minutes
“Star Wars – Episode II: Attack of the Clones” (To The Point Edit)
My edit of STAR WARS EPISODE 2: ATTACK OF THE CLONES, where the story’s focus is Obi-Wan and his hunt for a bounty hunter, and Anakin & Padme’s relationship seems legit.
Original run time: 142 minutes | My edit runtime: 70 minutes
“Star Wars – Episode III: Revenge of the Sith” (To The Point Edit)
My edit of STAR WARS EPISODE 3: REVENGE OF THE SITH, less annoying Anakin. End of story.
Original run time: 140 minutes | My edit runtime: 87 minutes
“Star Wars – Episode IV: A New Hope” (RESCORED)
To me, the scenes following the Tie Fighter attack always seemed to lack a little something. So, as an editing exercise, I decided to rescore it using music from the rest of the movie in an attempt to breathe a little more life in the weird silences that are present.
“Back to the Future” (Never Ending Adventure Edit)
Ever since I was little, I wanted a version of BACK TO THE FUTURE that was one long movie (because let’s face it, it is!). This edit combines all three movies into one long adventure. Opening and ending credits have been removed to continue the story. No other changes are present throughout the films (though I wanted to digitally change Mad Dog Tannen’s photo in Part 2 to match that of Part 3, maybe someday).
WARNING: The full res version is close to 25gb in size. Not recommended unless you have the internet connection to download it.
National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation (Family Friendly Edition)
I was asked to cut a more “family friendly” version of this film, one of my all-time favorites. This was a new challenge for it was finding ways to remove all swearing and adult themes from a movie without removing the core plot points, since a lot of the adult jokes were tightly tied into the plot development. All in all, 10 minutes were removed from the film.
